Lookalike-domain monitoring for the brands you look after
For web agencies that build and run online shops, and IT providers who manage domains and email for small businesses. We watch each client's brand for lookalike domains and fake shops. When one turns up, you get the evidence and the reports ready to file, so you can tell your client before their customers do.
Why this lands on your desk
When a customer is fooled by a fake shop or a fake invoice domain, the client's first call usually goes to whoever built the site or runs their email. From our own scans in October 2026:
- We found live fake shops copying 42 of the 348 consumer brands we checked, in Europe, North America and Oceania, all on .shop names.
- Copies come in groups. Usually two to four per brand, on different names and often different hosts, so one takedown rarely ends it.
- They stay up. Of 41 fakes we had on file on 13 October, 39 still served the same page a day later.
The method and the full numbers are on what we found on fake .shop stores.
What you get for each client brand
- New certificates and registrations that resemble the brand, checked every business day from public records.
- A person reviews each hit. Parked pages, unrelated businesses and names with no website or mail are filtered out.
- An alert within one business day of a find, with a screenshot, a risk level and the reason for it.
- A takedown pack: the registrar and hosting abuse contacts, the links to report the page to Google Safe Browsing and Microsoft, and report texts ready to send.
- Alerts go to you, or straight to your client if you prefer. Tell us per brand.
Price
€6 per brand per month, from 5 brands, invoiced to you each month in euros. A brand is one main domain and its name. Add or drop a brand by email. What you charge your clients is up to you; on its own, monitoring is €9 a month per brand. The terms apply to the partner plan too, with you as the customer.
How to start
- Email hello@mimicwatch.com with up to five client domains.
- We run the free check on each and send you the reports within 2 business days, so you see what an alert looks like before anything is billed.
- If it is useful, send the full list and we start watching. The first invoice follows at the end of the month.
Calls are possible in English or French.
Email us your client domainsWhat we don't do
- We never contact, test or log in to a suspicious domain. We read public records only: certificate logs, DNS, registration data and one plain load of a public page.
- We don't file reports ourselves. You or your client send them; we prepare everything.
- It is not real-time yet. A person reviews each find, which is why alerts arrive within one business day.
- We don't sell or share the domains you ask us to watch.
